To continue our anti-racism work this winter, we will discuss the book by Heather McGee, The Sum of Us: What Racism Costs Everyone and How We Can Prosper Together.
In the book, McGee’s historical account of racism in America demonstrates how we all lose out and also provides hope for how working together benefits all of us. We will gather in small groups for two hours a week for four weeks. Join the Human Rights Task Force in these informative and meaningful discussions!
The first groups begin the week of Sunday, January 16.
Sundays 1/16, 1/23, 1/30, and 2/6 from 2:00 p.m.– 4:00 p.m. by Zoom. Click to sign-up: Register for a Sum of Us Book Group
We are only scheduling virtual groups by Zoom at this time due to the rise in COVID cases. We may revisit this decision and change to hybrid or in-person options for daytime groups. We will keep you posted.
We will add more groups, starting later in January and in February. So, if these dates do not work, order the book now anyway. More dates will be added soon – so check the link above next week for more dates! The link will provide updated information.
