“Money is a current, a carrier, a conduit for our intentions.” – Lynne Twist, “The Soul of Money”
When we give with intention, we give with integrity and heart. Our commitment gives energy to make a difference in the lives of those who worship with us, in the lives of our children and youth, in the lives of those in our community and beyond who need the power of our collective liberal voice and loving action. At First Unitarian, with our considerable diversity of beliefs, we join as one in our mission to nourish minds and spirits, fight injustice, and transform the world through loving action.
Lynn Ingersoll has this to say:
“For all the reasons listed in your pledge message I am grateful to have called First U my church home for more than 30 years. I am inspired, cheered, comforted, consoled and encouraged by Sunday worship. I have appreciated the opportunities to participate in many social justice efforts over decades. I have made many friends. I am proud of our liberal message and community outreach. I love that First U continues to be a force for good and an environment for growth.”
We are nearing the end of our stewardship campaign. In April, the Board of Trustees will review the ET’s budget for the next church year, based on what we have pledged. Will we reach our goals and be able to live our mission to the fullest?
YOUR GIFT MAKES A DIFFERENCE. Pledged with intention, given with intention, it carries with it energy and possibility, now and in the future. Please pledge and give as generously as you can to this year’s stewardship campaign.
WE STILL HAVE A LONG WAY TO GO! So far, we have raised $357,616 – 73% toward our goal of $490,000 to support our church next church year, 2022-2023. We have heard from 112 families so far, including several new pledges, but with 97 still outstanding from last year. This is a significant gap. If you have not yet pledged, please visit our web page, First UU Wilmington – “Giving with Intention” – Annual Campaign for Stewardship. There you will find information on how to pledge, along with more information about pledging, including the UUA’s Giving Guide and automated giving. If you are ready to pledge online, please click here or call the church office, 302-478-2384.
