First Unitarian Library

Our church Library is now fully installed in its bright new shared space in the second floor Music Room. Although church Covid guidelines still preclude Sunday access, the Library and Archive Team is actively maintaining our collections and adding new Library titles including The Sum of Us, by Heather McGhee, and Defund Fear by Zach Norris.

In February we began to contact borrowers of books that hadn’t been returned before the disruptions of the Library move and pandemic. We apologize for our delayed follow-up, and welcome the return of overdue books. Please use the “Library Returns” box on the coat rack in the garden entrance foyer during weekday church hours, or on Sundays when in-person services are held.

We look forward to future easing of building restrictions so that the Library may again be accessible to all on Sundays. Meanwhile, our Team generally works on Mondays, and those who follow First U guidelines are welcome to use the Library and check out books during Monday church office hours from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The EEC Preschool is in session on the first floor on Mondays, so please consider your personal health concerns first. You may also email library@firstuuwilm.org to inquire about books to borrow and return within four weeks. Those who may be interested in helping with Library or Archive work are also invited to contact us.
