The EDR Dining Room Is Re-Opening! And We’re Back in the Church Kitchen!

We are so excited to announce that Emmanuel Dining Room is re-opening their dining room this month! With Covid numbers remaining manageable, the Ministry of Caring is re-opening indoor dining at EDR, which means our serving team on the 20th of the month is back in business!

Last month, on the 19th of March, the First U EDR team came back to the church kitchen for the first time since Covid began and christened the new ovens by baking some cookies to go along with our Chicken Shepherd’s Pie casseroles. Many thanks to the cookie team: Jean Raleigh, Georgia Brereton, and Jill Coghlan (no photo available), followed by the casserole team: James Moser, Mimi Moser, Pam Finkelman, and Nancy Pinson (pictured above).

Thanks also to recent cookie donors: Cinda Crane, Kate Cowperthwait, and Betty Weir – who brought us lots of Girl Scout cookies along with the always-popular Oreos.

Want to help out? Every month, we can use:
Cookie donors/bakers – Store bought cookies or home made cookies are always welcomed, or come bake some on the 19th of the month from 9:00-11:00 a.m.
Casserole preparers – at church on the 19th of the month from 11:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Lunch delivery – from church to EDR on the 19th of the month from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.
