Save-the-Date for Re-Emergence: A Summer Camp for Adults at First Unitarian Church

Sunday, August 28 through
Tuesday, August 30, 2022
Please save these dates for our congregation’s “summer camp for adults”!
This camp is for our members, attendees, and the wider community as a way to have some fun, connect in meaningful ways, and showcase some of our varied interests as a congregation. The full schedule of activities will be available during the first week of August. So far, these primarily member and staff-led activities include a mix of workshops, spiritual practice opportunities, social activities, and playful activities all day long, such as:
• Informal Coffee/Tea social times
• Spiritual practices: meditation, HeartMath, etc.
• Memoir writing, poetry writing, and other writing workshops
• Singing workshops and opportunities
• Art activities
• Improvisation
• Discussion groups
• Vespers
• Watermelon or water ice
• Tie-dying
• Drumming
• Work projects on our church campus
• Potluck
We also seek to organize folk dancing, knitting and crocheting, social justice workshop, and other fun events. You can attend all three days or particular days, for part of the day or the whole day. We will send out more details in early August.

You won’t want to miss it.  Plan to invite friends and make new friends.

The Summer Camp Planning Team includes Janet Tillman, Linda Sanders, Nancy Pinson, Paul Pinson, and Rev. Larry Peers
