You may have noticed something new in the Parish Hall or in the tent when ILYA has a table set up. Thanks to Marge Stitz’s beautiful appliqué work, ILYA has a lovely tablecloth and banner displaying our logo and tag line, “Growing Futures”. Many thanks as well to Lois Morris for orchestrating the idea for the tablecloth with Marge. We also have a six-foot tablecloth to use when we attend conferences with our display board.
We’re not always asking for donations when we have a table set up (although we will never refuse any!), we simply want to keep you updated on what ILYA is doing. Currently we are underway with the Student Care Package project supporting students heading off to college, university, technical school or the military. If you’re interested in hearing more or participating in that effort, contact Charlotte Graubau at email@example.com or Pauline Koch at firstname.lastname@example.org
Hand In Hand is a new program that supports ILYA created by Sue and Tom Hodges. Tom is an avid wood turner and creates bowls that are exquisite. Sue and Tom are generously donating all proceeds from the bowls to ILYA in support of our projects. You can see the bowls sitting on our lovely new tablecloth when ILYA has a table set up after service.
So stop by the ILYA table this Sunday to chat and learn about other activities going on with ILYA and check out the new tablecloth and banner. You’ll want to see the bowls – they are stunning! And please don’t forget to complement Marge Stitz on her beautiful work.
