First U has already written 2,840 postcards, but we can’t stop now! Please HELP US write postcards to Georgia.
VOTING MATTERS to a healthy democracy! Now is the time to commit to writing just 20 postcards before October 20! If 20 people write 20 postcards – that’s 400 more people in Georgia with a clear non-partisan message that their vote matters. What a great gift that can be to those who are so often told the opposite.
Click here to sign up to write 20, 40, 60, . . .or 100 cards!
We will bring materials to church or deliver them to you.
Georgia has suffered through so much voter suppression, but we CAN make a difference. A Georgia bill restricts, bans, and even criminalizes bringing food or drink to weary voters in long election lines. That is not just anti-democratic – it is cruel. These postcards encourage registered, but infrequent Black voters in Georgia to vote early to avoid long lines and gives them important information, including a reminder to bring ID and water to the polls.
Brought to you by the Unitarian Universalist Delaware Advocacy Network (UUDAN) and the First U Human Rights Task Force (HRTF). UUDAN partners with Reclaim Our Vote (ROV) to Get Out the Vote (GOTV) in southern states where voter suppression has disenfranchised many people, especially black and brown people, from voting.
