“Tis the Season” First Unitarian Church Goods & Services Auction Online

Today’s the day!  Last day left to contribute and we’re making it super easy to donate to this year’s Goods and Services Auction. We have an online form that you can access here or fill out a paper form in the church office. And it takes only 2 minutes to complete.

If you’ve been thinking about making a donation, and you’re stumped on what it could be, consider hosting an event that will gather members and friends together to enjoy food, wine, coffee, the outdoors, or a wonderful conversation around the fire. Over the years, the auction has spawned many such gatherings, giving it a long tradition of strengthening our community with these small gatherings.

For example, so far this year, members have donated a Steamed Mussel dinner for six, a Wine Tasting plant-based hike for eight to Penns Wood Winery, and a High Tea party for eight. Is there a small event – perhaps a lunch or brunch, a nature walk, a bonfire, a golf outing or a canoe trip, that you would enjoy hosting?

Or, perhaps you have a service to share… So far this year we have video services, a golf lesson or club fitting, and a one-hour massage therapy session.

Or, maybe you have a vacation home you can offer where a family or group of friends can relax!

You might also consider a basket of goodies, your own artwork, or gift certificates. This year we have hand-beaded jewelry by our own First U Beading Babes, artwork by Nancy Pinson, an orange fused glass platter by a local glass artist Marcie Tauber, and Waggies by Maggies dog treats baskets. We also have gift cards to restaurants, pet stores, and others. Maybe you have gift cards you can’t use and would like to create a basket of gift cards. Something to think about!

Donations are due November 15th. Please email with any questions: auction@firstuuwilm.org.

We also invite you to mark your calendars and plan to attend this wonderful event online from December 4th to 10th, with a celebration after church on Sunday, December 11th in the Parish Hall.
