Hybrid HRTF Workshop: Supporting Asylum-Seekers & Refugees

November 20 from 1:00-2:00 p.m.;  Sanctuary & Zoom

Plan to stay! Plan to stay!! Come to church, enjoy lunch, and then learn something new!!! Please bring a vegan dish to share for the lunch at noon (details above).   The Human Rights Task Force (HRTF) invites you to an informative workshop following the Vegan Thanksgiving Pot Luck!

Laura Randall, our UUSC guest preacher, will inspire us with information about the Congregational Accompaniment Program for Asylum-Seekers (CAPAS). This program engages individuals and congregations to walk in solidarity with asylum-seekers.

Vlad Cerbov from Jewish Family Services of Delaware, will enlighten us on the work of the Refugee Integration and Support Effort (RISE). RISE provides refugees cultural orientation and language skills, helps them secure housing and employment, and assists them with building systems of support as they resettle in Delaware.   We will learn ways we can support these two programs that provide hope to people as they navigate through vulnerable, transitional times.

If you are unable to attend in-person, please register and we will send you Zoom information to join us remotely: HRTF Workshop Zoom Registration

Brought to you by the Human Rights Task Force (HRTF). Questions or comments, contact Becky Laster at blaster102@verizon.net.
