Borrow books from our First U Library

Timely books for adults and young people are displayed in our Library, and you may also search the card catalog by author, title and subject.

New on the shelves are:

We Were Eight Years in Power (Ta-Nehisi Coates)
Love Letters to My Girls (Cherita Weatherspoon)
Before She was Harriett (Lesa Cline-Ransome)

We now have “The Four Pivots: Reimagining Justice, Reimagining Ourselves” (Shawn A. Ginwright, 2022) as discussed In Rev. Larry’s sermons on October 16 and October 30. You can view info about these worship services and view videos of the sermons in our Sermon Archive.

Coming soon is Monica Guzman’s “I Never Thought of it that Way: How to have Fearlessly Curious Conversations in Dangerously Divided Times.” We encourage borrowers to return this Library copy quickly so that others may read it before the First U book discussion on January 29.

And thanks to Rev. Ali K.C. Bell (now Assistant Minister at Cedar Lane UU Church in Bethesda MD) for his recent gift of Las Voces del Camino (Voices on the journey): Un acompanante para Singing the Living Tradition.

Stop by on Sunday mornings in our bright second floor space shared with the Music Room. Follow posted instructions to borrow books, and please remember to return them within four weeks.
