Many kudos to the children who participated in the ILYA skit on Sunday and thanks to Catherine who pulled it all together. The skit was heartwarming, with great antlers and costumes too!
Thanks also to all who brought greeting cards and calendars to the ILYA table last week. We now have enough cards but still need about forty 2023 calendars to include in the gifts for the 102 young adults aging out of foster care in NCC and Kent Counties.
If you have questions about ordering lunch bag gifts (less than $25) on Amazon or using Amazon Smile to support the church, please visit the ILYA table after church on Sunday. We can help with your questions as this gift project will end December 1. So far 37 lunch bags have been ordered but 65 more are still needed! Click here to view the Amazon link.
After we receive all gifts by December 5, they will be packaged and distributed to the families during the following week. We are hoping to support 27 of these children of young adults with children’s books for ages newborn to 7 years. Books can be dropped off at the ILYA table on Sunday as well. Checks or cash donations are also welcome so that we can shop for some of the items to be included.
If you are able to package the gifts at Martha Gessler’s house on December 8, please come to the table to sign up or let us know (Carolyn Gibson cgibson@upenn.edu or Martha Gessler marthagessler@gmail.com.
Many thanks for your generosity and support. We look forward to seeing you on Sunday.
