UU DELAWARE ADVOCACY NETWORK (UUDAN)

2023 Legislative Session:  What’s Possible? What Should We Push For?

There is a new set of legislators representing constituents after Delaware’s November 2022 local elections. Paul Baumbach, the lone UU serving as a legislator, will inform us about the bills that touch on our UU values. What could be brought to the floor this session? Housing? Climate? Abortion? Medical-Aid-In-Dying? Anything else important to UUs? This UUDAN meeting will help us organize our advocacy work to make the most impact this session.

UUDAN Monthly Meeting – Open to ALL

Speaker: Representative Paul Baumbach, House District 23, Member of Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Newark

At our meetings, speakers talk and answer questions for about 30 minutes, then we discuss UUDAN advocacy and business. UUDAN brings the five Delaware UU congregations together. UUDAN’s mission is to inform, recruit, and mobilize UU advocates to work, in partnership with other advocacy organizations, for the many social justice issues in the state of Delaware. The opportunity to engage in legislative advocacy is an important, but far from the only, way to be involved. Please let us know how you would like to get involved!
