I was born in Vermont and have lived in several states. I now live in Pennsylvania where my husband, David Nelson, and I are residents at Kendal at Longwood in Kennett Square. I have worked as a teacher, college administrator, and editor, and once owned a yarn and needlework shop in our college town.
Although baptized a Methodist, I have found spiritual satisfaction as a Unitarian Universalist all my adult life. I was a member of the Newark, DE Fellowship from 1963 – 1977 and active in the Canton, NY Church from 1977 – 2017. During those years, I served on Church Council, on a Ministerial Search Committee, and on the Nominating Committee.
Despite working hard at staying less frantically busy in this last part of our lives, David and I are delighted to be formally affiliated with First UU Wilmington, a friendly congregation which clearly works hard at living its values and making a difference in the world. It feels right, and we want to support that and be a part of it. A big bonus — the music is terrific!
