I’m from New Jersey, and moved to Wilmington after college to work my first office job. That convinced me to go to graduate school, and I came back to Wilmington after I had had enough of that. Now I teach freshman writing at Rowan University and other schools around the region. As a lapsed Catholic, I did not think organized religion had much to offer me, but I was sold on Unitarian Universalism when my most cynical friend found a congregation, and then I met a bunch of unfailingly charming UU teenage boys in a community theater production. I helped with their English homework and they told me about their RE backstage. I decided that was the kind of thing I could get behind. I started coming to First U in 2012 because I heard it had a great choir, and have been lurking around the place since.
