A Topic for Earth Day Weekend!
House Environmental Package Discussion
Let’s talk about climate legislation on Earth Day weekend! Taking action to retard climate change must be a legislative priority. We know that last session Delaware stopped short of passing bills that could have created meaningful change. This session, a set of environmental bills will be introduced in the House on April 27. Representative Sophie Phillips, who represents District 18, will tell us about the details of these proposed bills. Bring your questions for Representative Phillips!

At our meetings, speakers talk and answer questions for about 30 minutes, then we discuss UUDAN advocacy and business. UUDAN brings the five Delaware UU congregations together. UUDAN’s mission is to inform, recruit, and mobilize UU advocates to work, in partnership with other advocacy organizations, for the many social justice issues in the state of Delaware. The opportunity to engage in legislative advocacy is an important, but far from the only, way to be involved. Please let us know how you would like to get involved!
