Weeding is FUNdamental

Our beautiful grounds need attention, especially in summer when weeds try to take over our beds. Hiring a contractor to weed and mulch can cost the church a significant amount of money, so we rely on volunteers from the congregation to supplement the work of paid contractors.

Many thanks to Nancy Flanagan, who organized weeding dates this past spring – thanks to Nancy and her crew of volunteers, we were able to get a start on weed management.

This summer, the need for weeding continues. Are you able to offer a few hours  to weed in our Memorial Garden? Please come by any time. We have tools available – let us know if you need to use our tools and we can make sure you have access to them.

Perhaps you and your children are looking for a volunteer activity you can do together. The family that weeds together grows together!
