Soul Matters and Small Groups Update

Small Group Ministry

Our small groups sign-up has gone well and our current Soul Matters and Creativity Matters groups are full. We still have a Soul Matters group that is open starting in January (4th Wednesday 1:30-3:00 p.m.) and there is a drop-in group on First Sundays after the church service facilitated by Rev. Larry Peers starting in DECEMBER – drop in, no registration required.

Although most groups are full, you can still access the sign up form to express your interest in joining a group, including the best days/times for you. Click here.

We are looking for additional leadership for our Soul Matters and Creativity Matters program to start new groups; training is available. If you are interested, please contact Nancy Pinson at NancyP@firstuuwilm.org.

We have three kinds of Small Group Ministry: Soul Matters, Creativity Matters, and Connection Circles. You can participate in any or all of these forms of small groups. Small Group Ministry is a form of shared ministry that encourages spiritual growth and the development of deep and substantive relationships. Small Group Ministry meets our needs for belonging (intimacy) and meaning (ultimacy). It builds friendships and provides opportunities to talk with others about the big questions of life. Small groups are designed to enrich our community with the sort of conversation and attentiveness that can be difficult in the busy life of a growing congregation. A small group experience nurtures each person’s spiritual growth, empowering them to live their lives with intention and authenticity. Learn more at this link.
