UUDAN Share the Plate

The First Sunday Share the Plate on October 1 will support UUDAN, our very own UU legislative advocacy initiative in Delaware. The purpose of Unitarian Universalist Delaware Advocacy Network is to educate, mobilize, and coordinate UUs on advocacy for social justice issues in the State of Delaware in coalition with other advocacy organizations.

UUDAN offers members of UU congregations the opportunity to engage with legislative advocacy. We focus on local legislation related to criminal justice, economic justice, education equity, electoral justice, and environmental justice. If we have more UUs involved, we have more opportunity to share our UU values with our legislature. Please consider joining in legislative advocacy. We meet monthly and usually have a local speaker present about the current situation for one of our legislative topics.

As you know, there is an election coming up and so UUDAN will also coordinate another UU the Vote campaign. We will need volunteers and financial support for postcard writing.

Your financial support is needed so our UU values will be heard in Dover!  You can donate via check or you can use our online giving application at this link.  If you choose to mail a check, please indicate “UUDAN” on the memo line.
