Christmas Eve Worship – December 24 – Pre-service music starts at 6:40 p.m. – Worship at 7:00 p.m.

“Being Lightmakers: A Christmas Candlelight Service” (all ages) – Rev. Dr. Larry Peers and Catherine Williamson, DRE

Join us for this celebration of Christmas through ancient and contemporary readings, carols and the sharing of candlelight open to all ages. Rev. Larry will provide a Christmas message and there will be traditional and modern stories and readings from Catherine Williamson, Director of Religious Exploration for Children/Youth, and Kate Franta.

Our Christmas Eve service will open with a pre-service program of choral Christmas anthems, featuring works by J. S. Bach, Benjamin Britten and Rutland Boughton’s wonderful arrangement of “The Holly and the Ivy”. During the service, the choir will be heard in the ethereal “Hallelu!” by Stephen Paulus. And guest artists Martin Hargrove, bass, and Lotus Cheng, piano, will perform Adam’s beloved carol, “O Holy Night.” We hope you will plan to arrive early to hear pre-service music beginning at 6:40 p.m. on Christmas Eve.

Please note one evening service only on this Sunday.
