Easter Sunday at First Unitarian Church – March 31 2024 – 10:30 a.m.

Please join us for Easter Sunday, on March 31, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. We will have worship and activities for all ages.

Children and Youth: Children begin Easter morning in the sanctuary. Children (toddlers – 7th graders) will be sung out of the worship service and participate in an Easter Egg Hunt and fun activities. All are welcome! If you are able, please RSVP so we can plan appropriately!

Sunday Worship: “Rising Strongly Again and Again”- Easter Sunday – Rev. Dr. Larry Peers – We might discover again and again the process within and among ourselves to rise strongly again and again, despite and maybe even because of the circumstances. We will seek some universal and metaphorical meanings of the Easter narrative and draw also from the insights of contemporary writer Brene Brown who states that “Rising strong after a fall is how we cultivate wholeheartedness. It’s the process that teaches us the most about who we are.”

Easter Music: Percussionist Aaron Walker will join us for a music-packed service featuring the First U Adult and Children’s choirs. We’ll start with the beautiful Jubilate Deo of Michael Praetorius, sing some rousing traditional Easter hymns, and feature the Adult choir in Mark Miller’s transcending anthem “I Choose Love.”
