Did you grow up UU or have you been a member of another UU congregation? If so you can simply make an appointment with Rev. Roberta Finkelstein (roberta@ firstuuwilm.org or 302-478-2384). At that appointment she will talk with you a bit about your faith journey, answer your questions about this congregation, and get a sense of what you hope for in terms of your membership. At the end of the conversation, the membership book will be open for you to sign. You will be asked to complete a pledge card for the remainder of the current fiscal year.
If you are new to Unitarian Universalism, we encourage you to attend one of the upcoming Membership Orientation Classes. There will be time for learning about the principles that guide our faith, for you to explore your own values and beliefs, and to meet other folks new to First Unitarian Church and to the Unitarian Universalist faith.
Membership Orientation Classes are held at different times during the year. Our next class will be held on August 18, from noon to 2 p.m. in Room 25. Lunch included, child care available. Please visit the welcome table in the Parish Hall after worship or register on line: Orientation Classes Registration.
At the end of each class, those who wish to join the congregation will be invited to sign the membership book which will be open for this purpose. You will also be asked to complete a pledge card for the remainder of the current fiscal year.
