One of the biggest controversies of the past year was the trial of George Zimmerman. One of the controversies was that everything done by Zimmerman was technically legal. But legal and moral are two different things. Part of what the legal decision did was disempower not only the African American community but their allies as well. Let us learn to move beyond this decision to a new day.
