Sunday, April 2, 2023 – 10:30 a.m. – “Our Calling & What This World Needs” – Rev. Dr. Larry Peers

Sometimes when we think about our calling or vocation, we think about it in only a personal way, as a kind of self-focused ambition. Frederick Buechner lends some insight when he wrote that “vocation is the place where our deep gladness meets the world’s deep need.” Sometimes, our sense of calling also happens when we go to that place of intersection and ask not just ourselves but also: What does this world need from me, from us? In this service, we will also honor some universal themes from Passover, which begins later in the week.

Following the service from 12:00-1:15 p.m. we will have a facilitated congregational conversation about the proposed changes to the Unitarian Universalist Association’s Principles and Sources (“Article 2”) Please review the proposed changes before the meeting.
