There’s a lot changing in the religious landscape, and our UU congregations are feeling it in particular ways (“Where are the new members? Where are the kids? Where is the money?”). In times of change when much of what we have known church to be may be fading, it’s helpful to think about what we need from church today. Join Rev. Megan Foley for a look at how a church adapted for our times can be a church that is just what America needs – in fact, now more than ever.
Rev. Megan Foley is the Regional Lead of the UUA’s Central East Region, responsible for the 11-person team that brings assistance and resources to our 198 Central East congregations and communities. Before joining regional staff, she served for six years as the minister of the Sugarloaf Congregation of Unitarian Universalists in Germantown, Maryland and ran the local seminarian support network for those preparing for Unitarian Universalist ministry. Megan lives with her family in Silver Spring, Maryland.
Stick around after the service Feb. 24 for Coffee with the Regional Lead! Rev. Megan Foley will offer updates on initiatives and culture change from the Unitarian Universalist Association, the Commission on Institutional Change, BLUU (Black Lives of UU), what the Central East Region is up to, and answer your questions.
