Sunday, May 10, 2020 – 10:30 a.m. – “May Nothing Evil Cross This Door” – Rev. Andrew Weber

Mother’s Day is a time for celebrating mothers, parents and all caregivers. During this time of global pandemic, we are all called to be caregivers, in myriad ways. We live in a time of thresholds we want to keep and ones we may want to break down. The threshold of keeping ourselves and those we care for safe is contrasted with the threshold we are forced to keep between friends and family. We will celebrate care giving while exploring our different thresholds and how to hold or bend them with care, love and safety. Our special offering for May 10 will support the Urban Bike Project which strengthens our larger community by providing access to bicycling for transportation and health living. Please give generously to promote their work.

Our guest speaker: Rev. Andrew Weber is a proud, life-long Unitarian Universalist, currently living in Newark, DE with his wife and two small children. Andrew is the Travel Program Director with the Unitarian Universalist Partner Church Council and believes strongly in incorporating spirituality and faith identity in travel experiences. With the current restrictions on travel and changes in all of our lives, Andrew is mainly a stay-at-home parent, striving to continue to live a faithful and grounded life for himself, his family and the world.
