Sunday, September 12, 2021 – 10:30 a.m. – “Gather the Spirit, Harvest the Power: Ingathering Service” – Rev. Dr. Larry Peers

There is a resiliency to the human spirit that motivates us to find creative and meaningful ways to gather—even when we have to be apart. On this Ingathering Service, we begin our time of meeting together on multiple platforms (online, our building or our grounds) for worship, religious education and other events. Peace activist, Priya Parker, reminds us in The Art of Gathering, that it still matters that we gather— even if how we gather is undergoing a “makeover.”
Included in this Sunday’s service will be a modified “Gathering of the Waters” ritual. Where in a common bowl of Memory and Hope, we will have representatives from different generations of our congregation pour water to represent the Wellsprings, Life Storms, Waters of Renewal and Streams of Justice.
