There is a proverb that the best time to plant a tree was twenty years ago; the next best time is today.  It can be easy to drop our plans for self betterment when the “best time” has passed.  Our culture has us make promises every new year about what we want to achieve or become.  I say, why wait?  “What better place than here?  What better time than now?”
