Rev. Larry joined our staff on August 1, 2021. Rev. Larry started his professional career as a licensed therapist in Massachusetts. After graduating from seminary at Boston University School of Theology, Rev. Larry received his Doctorate in Ministry from Hartford University in 1998 majoring in Congregational Studies. He served his first congregation, First Church in Boston, as the Director of Religious Education. He served the UUA as a Research Director for ten years and served the prestigious Alban Institute as a Senior Consultant for many years, teaching and consulting on various topics around congregational life with many faith traditions. His most recent ministerial position has been with the Thomas Paine UU Fellowship in Collegeville, PA. Rev. Larry and his husband, Joseph Beyers, live in the Chestnut Hill neighborhood of Philadelphia. They will maintain their residence in Philadelphia while he serves our church. Rev. Larry will spend several days per week working from the church and a few days of study and writing time at home.
